After doing this research i need to choose my genre and make a final decision to what i am going to do. Each small image of the particular magazine logos have been hyperlinked by me, straight to the website of the magazine, so i can acess them easily when studying them.

ArtRockers Magazine:-
The audience of this magazine would generally be Indie, Indie Rock, and electro listeners. On the physcographic scale they would be aspirers and individualists, maybe even Post Materialists. On the demographic scale they would be C1, B and 16+ who reject mainstream flow and consider themselves individual. The main contents of this particular magazine is a very succesfull mix of creativity and music which inspires me.
The brand identity is upmarket for students, The pages are stylish yet sophisticated and they include many interveiws with indie artists and bands, it's more for reading- Not just looking at the big bright pages. This is deffinatly for an older audience because it's something to READ not just look at, and because of the mix of art and fashion it becomes inspiration for art students. The colour scheme is dark, with blacks, whites, greens and greys.

Smash Hits magazine:-
The audience for this magazine will be mainstream who listen to mainly pop music. On the physcographic scale they would most likely be achievers, aspirers and mainstreamers who follow everyone else. Demographically they would be be C2, C1 maybe even D. The brand identity is pretty down market and deffinatley for a younger audience, i would say youngsters who consider themselves to be in the know with pop knowledge and trendy and cool, the main contents is bold and bright, and very persuasive. It has freebies and interviews, its not particularly sophisticated because it's for a younger audience perhaps, 13+. For social values they may consider themselves Hedonists too, to play and enjoy life now. The colour scheme is pinks, whites, yellows and reds.

Kerrang Magazine:-
The audience for kerrang is rock, metal, punk, and screamo listeners. Its more of a male based magazine but girls do read it and there are some areas for girls. In the phsycographic scale they would most likely be Radicals and perhaps post modernists, age ranging from around 15 - 25. It is for people who like to find out about gigs and tours and latest news on the specific genre artists, who are also a little individual and don't follow mainstream music.
The brand identity is reasonably downmarket, but not as much as a mag like 'smash hits' . The colours are bright and dark, contrasting colours, like black and yellow.
